I'm on Squarespace

About a year ago I finally got enough motivation and wanted to start a blog for myself. I did a ton of research on different CMS / blog platforms including Blogger, Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc... After pulling my hair out from going over the ton of different options between each, I started a quick blog using Tumblr, because I wasn't sure how I would like doing it, and it was free.

I started by adding pictures and quick updates of what I was doing to my Tumblr blog. After awhile, and as soon as I got my iPhone, my content started to pickup and get bigger in doing App reviews and writing longer stories about me and what I was up to. Because of this, I knew I needed to move my blog to a bigger more robust platform.

From working with Anthony Casalena at WebOS.com years ago, and in using my previous CMS research knowledge, it was a no brainer to move my blog over to Squarespace. You can not get much more of everything in a blog platform that you need, that is easy to use, and that has all components / hosting in one place.

I hope you like my blog, and if my ranting about Squarespace does not make you use them, maybe this amazing commercial that the Film Riot guys from Revision3 did will change your mind.

I'm looking to move over to squarespace, but I'm actually waiting until their iPhone app comes out. Then I will make my final call on if I want to move in that direction.

@Daffy - Yes it is!!!

@ Alan - I hoping the iPhone App comes out soon too. From all the hints I'm getting, it will be well worth the wait.

Hi Mike,

Nice site. I'm still a newbie when it comes to CSS, but I've been able to make some basic tweaks to my ss site - and it's looking ok, but from looking at yours I gotta do some more work. SquareSpace does indeed rock!.

Andy.
